What is vegetarian and goes well with mash and gravy?

You could make your own glamorgan sausages. :)

yes! that's what I would do :)

I have a fabulous recipe if you'd like it! let me know and I'll TYPE IT UP! see - they're that good :D

Well, I bought some not-bad-at-all looking herby sausages today. They're soya based.

I'm going to test one tonight or tomorrow morning, and if they pass muster, I'll do those with mushrooms, onions peas and gravy.

If they're a bit iffy, I'll make them into a sort of sausage casserole thingy. I can then disguise them a bit. and put mash n peas etc on the side.

But I do like some of your recipes too, I'll be doing those on other days for definite, thanks! and yes please crustychick, I'd love the sossers recipe!

Rich wants mash and gravy. What a fantastic idea! So do I! I LOVE mash and gravy, haven't had it for ages.

But veggie sausages are boring, what else can we have with it?

Ideas so far:

Nicer veggie sausages. Maybe Herby ones from somewhere.
huge portobello mushrooms and slow fried onions.
some kind of veggie casserole thingy?
PIE. But what sort of pie?

er... ?

Lentils in a rich tomatoish sauce with a little cubed boiled potato, steamed leeks and cauliflower and a sprinkling of cheese. Either put a fairly dry mix in a top-and-bottom shortcrust crust or cover a wettish mix with puff or rough puff pastry.

</bizarre stalky derail>

To be perfectly honest, if you're attracted to me based on my posts, you probably wouldn't be attracted to me in real life...
