I've always thought that the SWP existed solely to convert any right-minded souls who stumble into its path to the righteous cause of anarchism. If ever you need proof that 19th century vanguardist socialism is a lost cause, and not even a desirable one anyway, simply pop along to an SWP meeting. I guarantee you will leave that meeting in no doubt whatsoever that having a hierarchical leadership with nothing better to do than adjudicate over various schisms and dole out endless five year plans for installing themselves in the exact same position our neoliberal masters currently hold is no way to bring about radical change.

And even if it was, could you imagine living in a world run by swappies? A world where everyone talked in meaningless self-congratulatory jargon and sang that fucking song every damn day? I would be joining the queue to be among the first against the wall I reckon.

Judging by that article, no. It seems to be implying that some element of the bureaucracy or the right of the union knocked up a fake flyer, using the name of the NSSN for reasons unknown. The article doesn't criticise the NSSN in any way.

And anyway, Organising for Fighting Unions isn't an organisation. It's a name Respect used to use and as far as I know, it hasn't been used by anyone since the split.

I think Special Branch are only interested in organisations that are a threat.
The SWP is not a threat to Capitalism.

They can't be interested in any other group in that case, as capitalism isn't remotely threatened and isn't likely to be in the forseeable.

I'm at a loss to understand the obsession with the SWP on boards like these. They don't matter any more than do the rival Trot and anarchist grouplets. Which is to say they do not matter at all.
