What is the point of button flies?

Any left hander who can't use thier right hand to undo thier jeans is shit.

All my button fly jeans last longer then the zipped ones and look much cooler.

Zip fly on jeans makes them look cheap and horrible. Button is the way it was meant to be.

You simply didn't see buttons on Jeans till Levi's brought them back in what, the early-mid 80s as a fashion thing. Before that, button-fans seemed to really have to work to get a pair.

For a good couple of decades, the zip seemed to do everyone fine.

But you're a girl, and never have to undo the fly without taking your jeans down. It's a bloody pain!

All my jeans apart from one ( zipfly) are too big so i never have to undo them at all at the moment.
But on men i prefer the look of button flys...sexier ;)

Button flies are way more secure and less prone to annoying breakage. Nothing worse than a fine pair of trews with sagging zippage.

I'm sorry, I don't care for these mitten-fingered fools who can't master the humble button.

Buttons are the bollocks. Learn to love them. The original problem with jean-zips was that when the denim shrank, the zips buckled. Zips were only introduced on sanforized (pre-shrunk) denim and even then they're apt to break/jam/catch your foreskin.

Button flies are easy to open - you can just give the top of the trousers a tug and they're all open.
