What Is The Greatest Song Ever Written?

Well if it's not bat out of hell, it's a toss up between Bohemien Rhapsody and Stairway to Heaven.

Out of those I'd say Stairway to Heaven.

So there you have it. It's Stairway to Heaven.

at teh time of writing...

In my heart is where I long for you
In my smile I search for you
Each time you turn and run away I cry inside
My silly way, just too young to know any more

In my world the devil dances and dares
To leave my soul just anywhere,
Until I find peace in this world
I’ll sing a song everywhere I can
Just too young to know any more

The wind covers me cold
The starry skies all around my eyes
Far behind the city moans
Well worthy of the people there
Oh, the psalms they love to hear

So let me sing a song for you
Just to help your day along
Let me sing a song for you
One I’ve known so very long
Oh, please could you find the time.

Bells'll ring ting-a-ling-a-ling, ting-a-ling-a-ling
And you'll sing "Vita bella"
Hearts'll play tippi-tippi-tay, tippi-tippi-tay
Like a gay tarantella !

Its a very simple game, it mainly involves seeing how many PJ and Duncan track you can play before someone kills you in the face, bizzarely other people don't seem to find it funny  :D :o

Do the rules allow repeated playing of one track? 'U Krazy Kats', for example...? ;) :D

"Someone take these dreams away,
That point me to another day,
A duel of personalities,
That stretch all true realities.

That keep calling me,
They keep calling me,
Keep on calling me,
They keep calling me.

Where figures from the past stand tall,
And mocking voices ring the halls.
Imperialistic house of prayer,
Conquistadors who took their share.

That keep calling me,
They keep calling me,
Keep on calling me,
They keep calling me.

Calling me, calling me, calling me, calling me.

They keep calling me,
Keep on calling me,
They keep calling me,
They keep calling me".

My Version. You will need Real Player, or something equivalent to play this file. :)

Best clearly Dreadlock Holiday -10cc

Worst, probably "the Auld triangle", Shane Mc Gowan or otherwise.

Cohen - Velvet Underground - Pink Floyd

I'd say Suzanne by Leonard Cohen.

And:

Confortably Numb. Pink Floyd

(though I prefer the first album by them - the one mostly composed by Syd Barrett... but Syd Barrett is an "experience").

Heroin Lou Reed.

Maybe also: Song to the Siren. Tim Buckley...

They are more than one... :p

Best song ever written..??

Easy.. That's Entertainment by The Jam..

So good its even been covered by Busted..

A smash of glass and a rumble of boots -
An electric train and a ripped up 'phone booth -
Paint splattered walls and the cry of a tomcat -
Lights going out and a kick in the balls -
