that dancehall track - possibly by lexxus - that Jerome used to mix into his techno sets. the one with the vocal that goes "bom bom bom-bom-bom-bom bom-bom" £20

Anyone got any idea what this is called ...?

New Year song

I used to see in the New Year by playing George Harrison's New Year song "Ding Dong", but I've buggered up my copy of the album it was on. May get a download and copy it to CD or something.

there's this Hugh Mundell song I've only got a rubbish mp3 of. It might be called 'Thinking about the Sunshine' (or 'My Mind Keeps Going On' - those are the main bits of the chorus)

I think it was a B Side to a single and I want it! even just a better mp3 would be appreciated if anyone's got it...?

Derail: Can someone recommend some music to help me relax. My recent downloads don't seem right for it.

Brian Eno - Music For Airports
- Discreet Music
Claud Debussy - La Mer
Philip Glass - Akhenaten
Eric Satie - Trois Gymnopedies

On Another Level by Los Hermanos, on vinyl.

It only came out last year ffs, but I've never seen it in a shop and all the decent internet sites I know of (Juno, Boomkat, Phonica, even Submerge) have been sold out pretty much since it was released.

Doubt I'd go beyond £20 for it though, and even that's pushing it...

Have you tried www.musicstack.com ?

gUY caLLED gERALD - "28 gun badboy" - the first ever jungle track ('91)?
I'll give you £15 - i'm not made of money you know...

I'd also go as far as maybe £10 (shouldnt be that much - just hard 2 find) for a copy of Leroy Gibbons ( a unique 80's reggae artist) track that his him yodelling on it - not sure what its called, but its got yodel in the title I gather. Saw him do it live and it tore down the Fridge. Any info on it would be nice too!

Leo Anibaldi - Noise Generation, £30 i'd pay.

Bassbar is a tune and a half, paid about £20 for mine.

I came across it in a pile of tunes a mate is getting rid of, I'll ask how much he wants for it.

That's certainly debatable as it was a late 91/early 92 tune and there were other, earlier, tunes that fit the "jungle" mould far better (breakbeats, dub inspired sub bass and reggae samples).

Anyway, the Colombia Records four tracker usually goes for a lot less than the Juicebox one ;)

That would be sweet :)

The tune is called "My Mind", the original 7" now fetches high prices. There has been a reissue 7" on Pablo's Rockers International label which you might be able to locate at Supertone on Acre Lane or Dub Vendor.
By far the best way to get it is to buy his classic LP "Africa Must Be Free By 1983", which has been pressed pretty much continuously for the last 20-odd years anfd reguarly appears in roots collectors' top 20 LP lists. Same shops will probably have it, or if you buy CD's it's easy to find online. If you can get the CD that includes the (Augustus Pablo) dub version of the LP I'm sure you'll be very pleased.

A lot of the pre-'94 stuff is sought after and can go for a tidy sum on ebay if the weather's right.

Send us a pm with the stuff you've got if you're looking to get rid, might be interested in some myself.

'Don't Fess' Sha Quan (12")
'DJ's Cuttin'' The NYC Cutter

I'll find copies of these eventually that are in very good to mint condition (or even sealed). Patience helps.

BB:)

that old Guy Called Gerald stuff is scheduled for re-release pretty soon, so i wouldn't bother emptying my wallet for overpriced 2ndhand copies if i were you- they'll press up both vinyl and cd, according to his website...

Soul Train on 12" by Swansway (circa 1984) is one of the few vinyls I really regret letting go. Gone forever.

I'd happily pay €30 to replace it ATM. But, if I was rich I'd happily pay €300 to replace it, But, if I was really very rich I-d happily pay €3000 to replace it. But, if I was really, very, very, very rich indeed I...
