What is necessary for the perfect BBQ

kebabs with halloumi, orange peppers, courgettes and cherry tomatoes. lush :)

baked potatoes with lots of black pepper and melted butter

coleslaw? or some nice home-made version anyway...

a crispy green salad

bbq/tomato relish

tabbouleh/some other cous cous style salad

mmmmm.

can i come to your bbq? i *heart* bbqs :D

I like a nice egg mayo when I BBQ too...

3 cheeses grated together, free range eggs, black pepper, tarragon, mrs1798's hot pepper sauce & of course mayo...

I put a lot of emphasis on the cheese... but it's lovely. I think so anyway...

I've got feckin BBQ on me mind.

Anything goes when cooking tho', which is nice.

Most recent thing I've got into is pouring milk over baby leaf spinach and eating it like cereal, sounds nasty, but I like it...

wont be offering it at the barbie tho'.

I said tabbouleh or some cous cous style salad  geez...

anyway, for a cous cous-y salad I usually make a tomatoey one, with sun-dried/blush tomatoes and whatever else I've got lying around. sorry not much help, I make it diffferent every time!

mmmmmmm. barbecues......

Am I the only one who dreads bbq invitations? Smoke in your eyes, possible food poisoning, stupid bloke who only cooks outside on a sunny day a couple of times a year..It's almost compulsory to have bbq's now and I can't wait till the trend dies out.

I used to have a couple of cheapo potbellied stove style hibachi BBQ's and these were great (I'm down to one now) as they can be stoked up with deadwood when all the cooking's done, generating warmth and cheer as the evening darkens and cools - cheaper than a "Cheminea".
Mmm. Sounds good. Nice to agree with you on something! ;)
