What is an mdb file?

oh, would you happend to know if its an intel mac duo
sorry getting all technical, i know how it would be like if you started talking about football :)

i downloaded open office. it doesn't seem to do anything once installed - i can't open files with it for example.

i think we're going to have to admit defeat on this one. if i can't convert this into a word file, then it's not going to work for me.

oh well, thanks anyway!

do u mean the open office does not load?

something called open office starts up. it appears in the top bar, there are options etc, but if i try to open a file with it, it won't let me.

but really open office isn't the solution. if i can't convert this mdb file to a word one, then it's not worth bothering with.

i'm throwing in the towel. thanks again.

i can convert this to a file that open office can read
is it for a report than needs to be in word?

no it's a list of contacts that i'll open fairly often - and i can't be arsed having to use a different app to do it. if i can't do it in word then i'd rather not bother.

if i can open it in open office and then covert it to a word file, then great.

there two diffrent apps
that mdb file is a database format, word is for letters and similar things...

how did u work with it in the past?

i've never encountered an mdb file before today. someone sent me their list of contacts and that was the format it was in. i'm just trying to convert it into something i can read.
