What intermediate digital camera is good for night shots?

I've been looking for a 'prosumer' (not my choice of word just what Jessops call them) type camera so I may give the Sony a look.

I've also been looking at the Olympus 8080 though, aside from the continuous burst it seems a bit better spec than the Sony for £50 or so more.

Has anyone used one or have an opinion on Olympus digital cameras in general?

Just an update: for night shots, the Fujifilm F10/F11 compact cameras go all the way up to the heady heights of 1600 ISO and absilutely crush the competition in terms of controlling noise. A Fujifilm 800 ISO can equal the output of a 200 ISO rival - it's that good.

I really like some of the cameras Samsung is coming up with. Excellent value. Shutter lag seems to be an issue with larger receptor models but, 5mp and below seems OK.

This looks alright

Not fashionable but, very nice.
