What household chores have you done today and how do you feel about it?

I've done most of the things on the list but have managed to put off painting the skirting boards for the third weekend in a row. I like the painting bit but hate the sanding than comes before that I can't be arsed with.

I've been cleaning the bathroom and it has been making me annoyed that cleaning the tiles makes the grout dirty.

I'm feeling better about housework since all the children left home. There seems to be only a tiny fraction of the work there was a couple of months ago.

Today, let me see...I have:

cooked
washed up
swept kitchen floor
cleaned highchair
done laundry
picked up toys, many times
attempted a food shop but was thwarted by stupid citywide cycling thing
bought cheese from the shop
cleaned areas of a small child several times

So just the usual shit really. It's pretty depressing that today I've washed up significantly less than usual - only once. What a Bank Holiday treat.

Tomorrow I've got to mop floors because I have friends round on Tuesday and don't want to be ashamed

I was meant to be going out tonight but it was cancelled so between posting here I've just finished cleaning all my laminate floors - took ages I'm really tired and I was actually wondering if I had time to clean the windows? But no - I can't.

Washing up, going to the supermarket, hoovering, sweeping the balcony, running a cloth round my skirting boards, washing clothes, changing the sheets, cleaning my oven, painting my floor, and cleaning out the washing machine drawer which had fucking MOULD in it

I'm sitting down to How Clean Is Your House for a bit of light relief.
