Now show me some specifics. How much did Livingstone pay for Venezuela's oil, and how much will Johnson now have to pay? I'm not sure which argument you're making here. First Chavez is somehow giving the oil away at stupid prices to 'buy legitimacy'; then those who accept his cheap oil are politically naive. Surely it would be politically naive to refuse cheap oil in order to buy it from people you'll have to sell arms in order to afford it.
