What happens with tax when you marry?

Really, you people! How many times? There is no god. We have only ourselves and our own choices. If you want to make a punctuation in your life with a wedding, why not? Love is real, after all, thankfully.
Just asking about stupid tax. Whatever

:D :D Stop upsetting people. x

* marriage is conceptual - basically, people are only married because they think they are married. Therefore marriage is, to some extent, a question of belief, not of fact - for example we would not be having the same discussion about birth or death.

so my marriage certificate is just a figment of my imagination? ;)

My boss doesn't know/care. Will I be better off? Am on PAYE so if I have a local tax office I'm not aware of it. What's the story?

I think you can claim some tax relief if you were both born before 1576.

most people in germany marry to get a better taxcode and pay less for healthcare (it's about 300 euro each month. but if unmarried both patners have to pay it). i think there should be taxrelief for married people! otherwise why bother?
