What future for Jessops?

Amazed they're still going. I remember looking at a lens they wanted £1100 for, which I then picked up from a mainstream on-line retailer for £830. Figured then that their days were numbered.

I'm amazed their "Flagship store" in New Oxford Street's still up & running, given it's decline over the past 2 years...

I actually found a Jessops near where I live today. I never knew they were there. I didn't need anything but thought I might buy some AA batteries, they only had rechargeables though.

Nice enough cabinets for Canon Nikon et all, in the Nikon one they had various dslrs including a D3 and a selection of suitable lenses but not at very enticing prices. 70-200 AFS f2,8 VR for £1,499 which seems up there.

I was approached by a nervous looking lad who asked if he could help me in a rather uncomfortable way. I felt sorry for him.

I did actually want a £10 hotshoe level guage (what are they called?) ah spirit level - but I could'nt see one.

Oh well.
