What football 'debates' should be banned from this forum? What would be better?

Interesting that. I hear a lot of English that's being tought is "American" English. I know my relatives in Asia have all started to get an American accent..

Donna you are right. Soccer is an abbreviation of Association Football (in England, naturally), end of the 19th century.

i knew a few irish guys who called it soccer.

i could go on about the fucking americanised shit i have to teach for a long time. some places here (korea) make nonamerican teachers speak in an american accent!!!
