I like most of the foods mentioned on this thread. Its making me feel quite hungry. I think in future I will like even more of the foods mentioned on this thread. Often its just the case that you've had a bad experience with a certain food. Been served it when its badly cooked, or even just badly presented or in the wrong combination of foods on the plate.
The very fact that something is considered a food is a sign that someone, somewhere, at some time has found it delicious. Many people on this thread are willfully closed to enjoying food I think
Having said that I think that there are some genuinely disgusting foods but no-one has mentioned them. I think that they are plants and chemicals that people have eaten only under duress to avoid starvation.
But all the foods mentioned on this thread are luxury foods and you are all spoilt!

I'd agree with that. I'm wary of liver, for example, in most circumstances, if only because my childhood experiences of friends' mums cooking it were pretty disgusting.
The only thing I won't eat again is Coleslaw, simply because it's so associated with vomming after my school inadvisedly forcefed me the stuff. They gave up when I technicolour yawned over the entire table the second time. I've made it myself subsequently as kind of aversion-therapy and still could barely swallow a gulp of its nastiness. I can live without it.
My gut feel is that if you eat meat you should try and value as much of the animal as possible. People who get freaked out by the idea of veins and blood should become vegetarian - there's nothing more grating than folks who insist on chicken breasts and overcooked beef/lamb steaks alone.
