I love that film, Kitano genius, don't know if I could watch it over and over again though.

Oh and I can watch the following over and over again:
The Big Lebowski
Donnie Darko
GoodFellas
Pulp Fiction
Groundhog Day
Way of the Gun
Point Break
Festen (The Celebration)
My Life as a Dog
Airplane!
Coming To America
The Conversation

I have seen the above more than 20 times at least apart from Way of the Gun, Donnie Darko and Big Lebowski perhaps, but I'm on my way.

Surely it gets boring after about the 5th time?
not if the films are good enough. God knows how many times I've seen Casablanca (at the very least twenty), and it is never boring. Not for one second. And the line about "we'd spend a very long time in a concentration camp" jars just as badly each time.

Carlito's Way
Groundhog Day
The Wall
Coming To America
Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade
Beverly Hills Cop
Ghostbusters II
Big
Batman

Natural Born Killers, True Romance, South Park Movie, Jaws, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

When I was a child I used to watch these films religiously.

Star Wars 4,5,6
Indiana Jones Trilogy
Ghostbusters
Python Films
Golden Child/Coming To America/Trading Places/Beverly Hills Cop/

JFK; there was a period about 12 years ago where I watched it everyday for about three months solid (sometimes twice a day).
why ? (does it matter that ive not seen it)

Night of the Hunter
Aliens
Metropolis
A Room for Romeo Brass
The Hunchback of Notradame (Both the Lon Chaney and Laughton versions)
Atanarjuat, the Fast Runner
The Haunting of Hill House (AKA The Haunting - the original)
Night of the Demon
Taxi Driver
Goodfellas
Witchcraft Through The Ages
The Wicker Man
Broken Blossoms (the Grifiths original)
Repulsion
This is Spinal Tap
Auntie Mame
The 3 Lives of Thomasina :o
Invasion of the Body Snatchers (original version)
The Incredible Shrinking Man (much underrated film IMO - original version of course)

probably lots more I can't remember

Probably Fear and Loathing - the amazing thing about it is that every time I watch it, I find something new (despite thinking I know the damn thing back to back). This may be something to do with the states I watch it in though...

Nice to see Goodfellas figuring in a lot of these lists-without doubt the greatest film ever made (though Bristle KRS will slate me for that :p ;) )

I just cringe to think how many times I've seen 'Withnail'.

I went on holiday to Jerusalem 9 years ago to stay in a friend's flat & we watched it Every.Single.Night. After going to a bar. Somehow we couldn't turn in for the night without the darkened room, the flickering screen & the bottle of vodka going round to the sound of "Boy! Boy! I know you're not asleep, boy......" & so on.

It was a great holiday. I think between sessions with Uncle Monty & Jake the Poacher et al we may have seen the Old City & the Dome of the Rock. :o

I've also seen 'If...' (that & the aforementioned vie for being my all-time favourite film) about 10 times or more.

(and The Sound of Music loads of times...)

In a way though, something like the Wicker Man or Get Carter is better if you only see it once every decade or two. Films like that are too good to "consume"

Big Trouble in Little China or The Long Kiss Goodnight on the other hand ... or kung fu movies, any kind of kung fu movies from old school to arty new stuff.
