punk still feels to be the most important musical movement of the last 30 years, i was around in 76, and remember the shock and outrage of the media at the time, the daily mail was in full on frothing rage

i don't think any musical/cultiral movement has matched the im impact of punk since 76, only one i can see a parallel for is rock n roll in the 50s
i was only 11 in 76 so couldn't be a proper punk, and by the time i was 15 so, it was sort of retreating back to the underground...
