What do you wear to work?

Furry suit, Moose mask, Antlers.

And a waistcoat.

There is a dress code at my school. We are expected to be smart which I find difficult as I am one of those people who manage to look scruffy even if I'm wearing good clothes. :o I wear clothes that I am comfortable in. Always stuff that doesn't crease and is easily washed teamed with a nice scarf or some sort of accessory that draws attention away from my hair. I have been having a bad hair decade....

jeans, t-shirt and trainers if i'm working with the kids, smart jeans or trousers and a jumper or v neck smart top if i have to go to an external meeting ( about 3 times a year :D) . for internal meetings i just use a wet wipe to get the dribble/food/dubious stain off what i'm already wearing :)

I usually wear a black skirt, and a 'smart' t-shirt. Opaque tights in the winter and bare legs in summer.

We do have a dress code, but it's not very harshly enforced. One of the secretaries wears leggings and a baggy t- shirt and goes around barefoot!

I suppose I don't see my clothes as being work clothes, they're just my clothes.

snap. i did try to keep work clothes separate from clothes i wear outside work just so there'd be that difference iysim. it didn't work though cos i can wear jeans - and do mainly. unless i have days of meetings, then i smarten up a bit.

i quite like looking slick and strutty sometimes though, but it's not usual, so i get a few* s when i come in the office dolled up a bit, and 'fuck me. you scrub up well!' type comments.

*i work with five men.:D

i'm taking some kids to the House of Lords next week for a debate with erm...ministers i presume. :D

yesterday i had a 'memo' telling me what to wear!!! :hmm:

fuck 'em. i might just wear double denim.

I'm not allowed to wear jeans or flip flops (that's what my contract says) so I wear everything else but. If I'm teaching corporate clients I dress up a little with smartish trousers and a shirt, but generally I wear linen trousers or skirt and some form of top.

Pretty smart but not suit or tie mainly, unless I have meetings.
I reckon I should be fine in a polo, or short sleeved shirt in the summer.

No-one really minds as we don't see external people, so mostly jeans, trainers, top, hoody. Sometimes I make more of an effort for Monday meetings or if the boss is particularly around, eg skirt and a smarter top and cardigan/jumper. In reality I could probably get away with dyeing my hair pink or something if I wanted to, but it would make me nervous they'd think I wasn't taking it seriously.

I'm don't change when I get home either, but it has caused a slight tension in my wardrobe as I probably buy slightly smarter clothes than I would otherwise, so my whole look has probably become a bit more officey :hmm:

just jeans and t-shirts or casual shirts.

althoguh to be honest i wish i had the sort of job (and money) wear i could wear suits all the time. i'd like to be a dapper chap.

Same as most here really, smart(ish)shirt, dark leans, loooong skate belt. If it's cold a casual zip top, usually with yellow stripes (I've got a thing about yellow stripes). When I've got meetings, if I'm in the mood I'll dress up real smart, then everyone thinks i'm more important than I actually am.... maybe I'm just in office denial, I'm a landscape gardener, not a database fiddler or coder, booo to offices.... I miss coming home with an inch of mud on my face and cement in my dreads....

:hmm: :o

Jeans on fridays, smart/casual the rest of the time.

We don't have any kind of code tbh. I just don't feel in work mode wearing jeans all week :o:D

Shirts and trousers, nice twinsets and skirts that kinda thing :)

There's no dress code so I wear what I like. I don't really have work clothes per se. I tend not to wear jeans though (although I am today), because I see them as overly casual. I usually wear dresses or skirts as am not into trousers that much. And usually a cardi of some sort because I feel the cold. :D

The same as I wear all the time - whether at home, on my bike or on the beach (though I don't wear swimming shorts and sandals at work - or on the bike.)

I work in animation were most people wear baggy T-Shirts and jeans, but I generally tend to wear vintage suits, shirts and jackets anyway, so I'm probably one of the most formal looking people in the industry.

The only dress code we have here is no very short skirts or shorts or tops which show the midriff! Basically these were brought in because a couple of members of staff used to wear clothes which left little to the imagination in these areas and so were deemed 'inappropriatre' :D

So most people here are pretty casual - today I am in jeans with a jersey dress over them and a long baggy cardigan, which is pretty much the kind of thing I wear everyday.

Whatever I want to wear I can wear, apart from open-toed shoes and t-shirts with logos (or, offensive logos, really).

I don't have special clothes for work. However, I do tend to get changed when I get back from work anyway - straight into my pjs :)

One of my colleagues - infact the one who caused the no short shorts rule! - has an array of strange t-shirts. Today's has a massive picture of a hairy spider on it - yuk! - while my favourite is one which has a picture of W.B. Yeats on it but, unfortunately, in the picture he looks like Mark Chapman, the guy who shot John Lennon. Opps :o:D

Just jeans & tshirt. No special rules here. In summer, I often wear shorts and sandals :)

Although I do have black polo necks for when uniform is required.

Jeans and a t-shirt. I sometimes worry that my workmates think I only have 1 pair of jeans and 3 t-shirts when the reality is I have two pairs of the same jeans and about 6 black t-shirts. I dress very boringly.

I work with people who wear all sorts though, and quite a few Nathan Barleys.
