Yeah, I think you're right there - it was "Night on a Bare Mountain". My brain cells must be getting frazzled! Just noticed that Wikipedia got it wrong, too.

(Might be imagining this, but is it possible that Maxell did another version of the ad a few years later with a Peter Murphy look-a-like & a Valkyries sountrack)??

I think of Frontier. I only saw Apocalypse Now years after I'd played that for far too long.

Oddly enough I just downloaded Ride Of The Valkyries to accompany a video I was making - involving a gunship. Obvious choice, maybe too obvious, I might not use it.

Maybe look to the 'transformation' music in Parsifal? That might work?
