What do I remember, not a lot though got match and shoot for years and years...I do remember a picture of Ian Rush ( I think, shows how bad my memory is )in an Everton kit for an april fools that totally had me

I remember the pre season league ladders in Match and collecting the odd little triangle football shirts to insert. For some reason and article that I really remember specifically was on Man United saying they had finally sorted their goalkeeping problems when they announced the signing of Schmeichel....and being really angry because I thought Les Sealey was amazing! - how wrong I was.

Roy of the Rovers for me, used to love getting it and re-reading many times. I remember he had a tasty Lotus.

What was the comic strip that included the bald east european manager, Bosco?

They were always "crack East European teams" same as the "crack Eastern European tank brigades" that were ready to roll over the West German border at a moments notice. It was only when the wall came down we all realised that that should have read "crap" and not "crack"..

Not part of my childhood but I did love the Scottish footie magazine, The Absolute Game.

The players featured in the '70s ones had longish hair and a bit of face fuzz,the balding players never tried to disguise their lack of hair back then as they do nowadays with no1 haircuts hence the combover,players from the '80s fav pop star seemed to be Phil Collins for some reason.
