Salt, white pepper, and vinegar

In a perfect world there would also be my own cooked chilli that had been in the fridge for a day or so

:)

Thanks to a pub messing up my sunday roast order I discovered gravy and horseradish are the ultimate condiments for chips. I don't think I can go back to ketchup now.

Mayo and mustard.
Or better still gravy and curd cheese (poutine, delicious artery-clogging nomnomnom)

:) I like curry sauce from the chinese on chips from the chinese aqnd maybe a bit of boiled rice , I have gone right off chippy chips lately

After reading this thread I completely understand why British food has the reputation is has. Yuek!

Believe me, these reprobates aren't typical

Only taste-free smeghead perverts with a penchant for e-numbers ask for curry sauce or gravy on the humble chip. What's wrong with the bootiful simplicity of salt and vinegar on crisp spuds, with none of this soggy sodomoisation of the chip with a variety of chemical slop?

It's wrong I tells ye, wrong.

:mad::mad:

;)

depends....quite happy with S&V....sometimes will go for red root, brown root, sometimes tabasco, sometimes mayo, sometimes salad cream...no hard and fast rules for moi, don't often eat chips saying that.....

I have posted on this thread before but I love chips so much I thought I would post again..:)

For me it's all about the vinegar...I like a lil biddy bit of salt and then a eyes watering amount of vinegar. I like to make my chips all soggy with vinegar.

The sogginess is what I don't get. I can understand wanting other flavors, but soggy doesn't work for me. :)

No salt, plenty of vinegar (probably not quite up to Moonsi til's level though... I used to enjoy them swimming in it when I was a kid, but my taste has matured since ;)) and black pepper. Either mushy peas, chip shop curry sauce or ketchup if I have a patty with them.

We're talking proper chips here remeber, not fries... think fluffy big bits of potato. Soggy fries are rank
