What do you call your kids...you know...bits..?

We've always used 'crotch' with little weepiper (girl) and 'willie' for her little brother.

If in doubt I think 'bits' is actually perfectly sensible and wouldn't offend anyone, but is still recognisable to those outside the immediate family...

Willy for the boy bits, penis sounds like something you do not like far too proper and that just would not be right.
Don't know about the girlies ones, like the sound of fanny for the same reason as above.

i think if i was going to use vagina then i'd feel bound to do the whole anatomically correct lot - labia, urethra, clitoris etc, which is a bit ott for a 2 year old (although we were discussing boys and girls, weeing and pooing on the loo today and i think he word urethra did pass my lips :)). i thought that fanny was suitably unambiguous/untwee but friends have said that it's a rude word to them. ffs. i suppose they'd prefer "front bottom". i think it's a feminist issue that girls aren't made to feel embarrassed or ashamed about their anatomy.

yeah I wouldn't say "vagina," my parents did that to me and honestly I was confused about what that meant for years. I knew a vagina was a hole, and babies came from it, but I had no clue what the other stuff down there was, and also thought I peed out of my vagina. Be sure to be clear on that part. :o

My parents have managed the last 33 years without ever once having to refer to them. If I had a girl I dunno what I'd call 'em. Boys are easier, todger, willy are pretty inoffensive. I suppose 'bits' is a catch all ..
