What do these type of error messages mean?

Why are you showing me lots of photos of a woman with long hair?
something to pass the time... it's not as if you can remedy your problem without someone knowing exactly what to tell you to do that WON'T involve having to "download" something/somehow onto your "broken" laptop... unless you are keeping some HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE brain blurp to yerself. :D:D:D

well no, but if someone's able to download it on to a disc then give it to me, then isn't that something I should be doing?

However, if you have to enter some kind of password or something, then I'm buggered yes? Or I have to pay to download it?

I don't know... I don't own your computer or know what is or what isn't on it.

The link is for a 1mb file.. it doesn't cost anything to download... I just clicked it and I can download it for nothing etc etc etc :p

oh, I doubt I do either

Right, so if I got someone else to download it onto a disc, I'd have no problem downloading and installing it?

I've already asked the helpdesk guy here if he's able to download it from his machine and he said no.

He said the official helpdesk might do it but they're not based in our building so I can't really ask them to come over and do non-work-related stuff.

Nobody has laptops I don't think as they have those laptop thingies that are connected to their workstations.

Looks like I'm going to have to wait 'til next week.

I even bought a CD-R disc in to work with me :( (That is the type of disc you use isn't it?)

are you relieved or dreading my next problem? :hmm:

I'm not really sure how we fixed it either. I installed Revo Uninstaller last night but Kapersky was still there. I ran CCleaner, SuperAntiSpyware, chkdsk etc. last night and nothing. Did it again and left SuperAntiSpyware running again whilst I was at work and tried again when I got in, and suddenly here I am :D

So I reckon either Revo or Superantispyware fixed the problem
