What do fans of Premiership teams think of Fulham?

Can we have Carlos Bocanegra back please? We miss him...

I reckon that over here, people pay more attention to Fulham than they do to other mid-ranking premiership clubs, just because they've got more than one American on the team. You see a fair few Fulham shirts at MLS games.

I think McBride is an excellent player. Very under rated. As for Bocanegra.....yeah you can have him back.

He should play central defense i think but was played out left much of last season so maybe i'm being unfair.

Genuine question as i'm intrigued what our status/profile is these days. A few years ago under Tigana i thought we were a well respected side as we played some beautiful football and had excellent players (Saha, Finnan, Lee Clark, Edwin). We also surprised a few people during our Uefa cup run and reached the FA Cup semi final.

The thing is we don't have a rival in the Premership so no one dislikes up. In the past we have had some very volatile relationships with Brentford, QPR and Gillingham (god bless em all).

A nothing club? The new Wimbledon? Come on. Be honest.

Hmm... I'm a West Ham supporter. We were formerly a consistent premiership side, so I guess I'm entitled to answer.

What do I think of Fulham? Well, it just pisses me off that they've had a board that care about them and invest in them, when you consider they aren't that big a team. A good mate back home is a Fulham fan and even he admits that we are a much bigger club, and have been shafted by our board, and if we had had the sort of investment they had a few years ago we would be a permanent top 5 club in the premiership...

you mean 'lets sell all our good players and then give arry a 2million pound thank you for persuading our good players thats its a good idea to move on so we can't buy decent replacmeants and have to buy rigobert song insstead', board as us surely?

Cheers chaps.

One thing I know is we have terrible support. More passion when we were 2nd bottom in the old 4th division. All the pre-Fayed supporters are lame.

I have thought for a while that Fulham should start struggling soon, since Al Fayed seems to have lost interest.

I think that Coleman's doing a good job, but Fulham's stars such as Malbranque have been misfiring for a while and they could struggle this season unless Coleman can get the best out of them.

I always enjoy the Fulham away fixture though .... a bit of banter, quite an intimate ground with good sightlines and a few beers and a chat with some home fans in the pub afterwards.

I moved to London in the early nineties and with wanting to get about and explore the place,i chose to visit all the London grounds during the summer break and take a few pics (missed Brentford and Charlton but thats by the by).
When i got to Fulhams ground, the front gate was open but there wasn't a soul to be seen so i just wandered in.This would be when Fulham were in the old 3rd or 4th division.I must have been there an hour, clicking away. Not once did i see anybody else at any time i was there. It was (prolly still is) a lovely quaint old run down place.Great big weeds were growing out of the open terrace behind the goals and the stand that i sat in was made of splintering wood.
So,to cut a boring story short and answer the origional question, whenever i see Fulham's now packed ground on Match of the Day or when i used to hear about developers wanting to buy the ground i think to myself 'I could have burnt that place to the ground and changed history if i so desired and nobody would have been any the wiser it was me'.

NB-im NOT a closet pyromaniac.

Don't mind the team, but the fans are the worst in the Prem. Never sell their allocation and never sing. Last year at Anfield I only realised there were any Fulham there due to the muted cheers when you scored.

Chelsea are second worst.

Suppose they are quite but the fans seem a nice bunch and good fun to drinkwith when Celtic have played them in friendlies

Forest fan here but will comment anyway ;)....

I remember when Fulham got promoted with Tigana, people were saying that with Al Fayeds money that the club would establish themselves as contenders for Europe most seasons. However over the past few years Fulham have become a forgotten club in the premiership, their standard has dropped and Al Fayed seems to have lost interest in his little side project. They were my tip to go down the past 2 years and again this year but they keep defying the odds....

The fact is that you're still in the premiership and therefore all us teams in the lower leagues envy your position!

Been at Fulham vs Man City the past two seasons and we expected to beat them but limped off at 2-2. Was pleasant though and a nice vibe and the catering/drinks isn't a rip-off. I hope you stick around the Premiership and decide to sell us Malbranque some time.
