what did you learn at work today?

I learnt never to trust my marketing department (never worked with such a shambolic dept), never to trust my media buying agency (blood thirsty and no good) and always do your own digital marketing if you want it done right!!

what's a polynome? like a vector?

exactly :)

I've been using realdrawpro for a couple of years and have only just found out that it can do this  :D

thanks to the wonders of the internet and on-line tutorials

I learnt that if you connect a small usb extension cable into a loop it can be used as a CROWN OF ULTIMATE GEEK POWER!! and can be used to smite your co-workers.

Nah! too soft. Just kill em in the face.

OK on a more positve note today I learned tht the EU Anti Torture Goods and Equipment for Captial Punishment Prohibition Directive comes in to force at 0000 hours on 30th July. Thats a bit more positive isn't it.

I learned that I am sharing a car with a total stranger when I go to France for the weekend in a few weeks' time.

I also learned that ISIS is really part of F&C and not a separate part of FP as I had previously thought.

I am neutrally disposed to both these pieces of information

I had to rewrite something as I thought they were two different things but I got the wrong end of the stick. Sometimes it's tricky writing about things which you don't actually understand

I learnt that the story on the front page of a local paper about a homeless man being attacked by a gang of kids who stamped on his face and filmed it, actually happened to a Traveller I know well :(

He is terminally ill and probably hasn't got long to go anyway :(

Don't think I learnt much else today :(

Today at work I learnt that standing on the bannisters to put things into the loft because you can't be arsed to get a ladder is not a good idea, and that when you are immobilised with back pain, and you can't move your arms very much, wasps can sting you with relative impunity.

Today at home, my shift manager learnt that his co-workers can find amusement in others pain.

I thought it was safest I just stuck to the emoticons...

;)

I learnt that the showerheads we have can't be considered as ligature points and I struggle to leave others in charge.

That to set up Paypal to accept payements on a website you can do it all on the internet and never speak to anyone and that my boss thinks his company is big enough to warrant some extra special personal attention. What, i say, bigger than Ebay? I dont fucking think so....

I learned more about how to manipulate someone above me into doing what I need them to do (because they usually just outright refuse).

I'll call it Executive Coaching when I update my resume.

OK I learnt that Hillary duff did a cover of the go gos our lips our sealed. I also learnt who Hillary Duff was and that she looks like those two twins.

Humm. . . not sure that is positive.

Yesterday I learnt that fun boy three did a cover of our lips are sealed that is better than the go gos version. I also learnt they did a urdu version on the B side.

Today I learnt that Terry Hall wrote our lips are sealed with Jane Wiedlin, so it's prehaps not a cover even though Wieldlin had already had a hit with it.

Nothing.

What the fuck can a PA/secretary/admin type person really learn? Nothing particularly useful IMO.

That's why I don't like this job.

(I saw in the Metro that it was voted the most boring job...too right)

Actually I'm trying to do as little work as possible without being sussed, whilst learning about rape camps in certain countries and Women for Women International, a support group for the victims.

I've learned that air coolers offer little relief in this hot weather. Here's a stating the fucking obvious email we received:

"I e-mailed you last week to say that we were experimenting with two air coolers and one air conditioning unit. We have concluded that the air coolers offer minimum relief, especially in a large room. It may be the two we have purchased could be used instead of fans at individual desks, particularly for those who are not in closed rooms.

We are now trying to track down some more air conditioning units, but because the hot weather is continuing demand is high and many outlets have sold out.
Further progress reports will issue as soon as there is news."

Personally, doesn't even affect the secretaries as we were not provided with any of the above, only the lawyers were. Obviously secretaries don't get hot
