Just want to makes sure i got this right - 80% of your collection is UK dub?

Can I request your next 30 shows be made up solely of UK dub please:)

Nope, 70's and UK Dub combined makes up more than 80%. I do have enough UK stuff to do nearly that many shows though :)

I'm running a project over at the Blood & Fire forum you might be interested in to compile CD's of sound system classics, Jah Shaka style.

I've just done a vintage roots volume which I'll put up as mp3 here later. At some point I'll do one of digital stuff, probably using tunes from that top 30 UK released 45's article I wrote for Woofah magazine.

I have stuff going back to 50s rock'n'roll, but stuff from then, the 60s and the 70s is a bit cherry-picked, simply because I haven't been as exposed to the less popular stuff, and it's also harder to find. The 80s, although I don't remember it musically, has quite a lot through back-tracking people still operating after, e.g. Primal Scream -> Bobby Gillespie -> JAMC.

In terms of numbers, it'll be either the 90s or 00s, with the 80s in third place, although it's not something I've ever really examined.

Pretty even spread from about 1620 to 2009, probably peaking around 1890, 1950, 1990 and 2000s :D

Cloo, how can I possibly answer this?? Mine dates back to classical and moves forward to 40s/50s/60s, not much 70s(punk) or 80s or 90s, cept for stuff like Slipknot, SoaD, RHCP, RatM and other stuff. Probably mostly 50/60s.

Decade of composition: A multimodal distribution with peaks around 1780s, 1820s, 1880s, 1930s and 1980s.

Decade of original recording: A couple from 1920s, but otherwise very skewed to 1980s and last few years.

I dnon't thin one does - if it does - it's the current decade - not that I think it's better than any other but I just buy shit loads of music.
