What damn songs can make you breaaaaaak down and cryyyyyyyyyyyyy?

agreed

mind you someone told me there is a 'making of' video that is even more boneheaded than the finished product...

Wow. I've just watched the vid for the first time in years. It IS astonishing.

No mountain top though. I think the backdrop of the shoebox sized church will suffice however.

That must be up there with one of the classiest music vids of all time.

Youtube quote:

"that church is like the tardis "

:D

Hahahaha, 3mins in - Slash looking for the ring, I thought he was after some fags and I lol'd :D. This is pure joy, watching this.

Slash walking out is the best bit, I reckon. He's, like, "Right, see ya later everyone, I'm just going off to play guitar for a bit outside now, kthanxbai!"

And everyone is sort of looking at him like "Slash, mate, aren't you the best man?"

Do you realise - flaming lips
Creep - I know, I know, but I first heard this after just splitting up after a 5 year relationship. That was 10 years ago and I still can't really listen to it without swallowing hard.
A Coral Room - Kate Bush's ode to her dead mother, always gives me a lump.

"Also, Slash, you could've worn a fucking shirt, you know? It IS your mate's wedding and you ARE best man! Seriously, after the whole Go-Karting debacle, I really didn't think you could do any worse at being a best man but this really takes the biscuit now"

One of the funniest things I saw in a crowd was when Condoleeza Rice went to Iraq and, in the crowd, was some dude holding up a sign saying "Wind of Change" like he thought he had come to a Scorpions gig or something. Totally incongruous.

5:28 - Slash does a crazy axe god pose. Never seen that one before.

look at him go

Luther Vandross - Dance with my father again.

Aye. That's another one. I learned to play it but can't get through the whole song without welling up. @ self.

It's not like he's even dead. But mental illness has taken him. And so it still makes me sad.

I've never really understood it, but Gracelands by Paul Simon, the lyric when he talks about leaving a window in his heart. For some reason it reminds me of my grandad.

hmm i just got the Bowie reference in the title (i think).

on that note, Walk on the Wild side always makes me a bit tearful for some reason. even though it's about blowies and that.

maybe just the bassline.

Hem - Not California

The last few lines just get to me

"I'm the one who wants to be with you tonight
And I'm the one who wants to be the one you're with tonight"

Mine's not dead either, and he's in good health, but it just makes you realise how you will feel when the time comes.

Actually, the Living Years by Mike and the Mechanics used to choke me a bit, even though it's cheesy.

There's this bloke who rehearses in the same studio and hangs out with the same people as me that I only just found out last week is the son of Mike Rutherford.

So that song is about his grandad.. weird.

RE: November Rain Video.

I love it, but the video for is just as good.

Best moment: Slash driving a car off a cliff only to escape, play and launch his les paul into the air :D:cool:
