Nice to drive, but IME not all that reliable...Old French cars.Nice to drive, but IME not all that reliable...
I will be happy if it lasts a year.
According to a couple of friends that have had this make and model, they found them really reliable and easy to get parts for, I'm getting a bargin with this one, its in really good nick and the cam belt was changed 3000 miles ago. Anyway Unfortunately I can not afford to be choosy with a budget of £200I will be happy if it lasts a year.
Probably means you are a racist or something.

Like that, only with a bloody great dent in the passenger door, rear lights that don't fit, an odd grinding sound at 3500rpm, gearknob that comes off, quite a lot of rust, slightly buckled back wheel, chipped windscreen, constant burning smell, busted right hand speakers etc etc. Still, not bad for the £0 I paid for it.

I bought my 1997 bmw 316i in March and it's undoubtedly the best car I've ever had. Steering is wonderful, smells of stale cigarettes and pine tree air freshener, surprisingly good on fuel (about 40mpg) and only set me back about 1400 squid.

Could swing the other way. I'm not patriotic enough to use UK petrol and drive the economy, but am quite happy to leach off other 'real' Londoners as they drive half a mile down the road to the sweet shop for a sherbet dib dab.

I've just bought a Ford Fiesta. Despite being 38 and passing my driving test about 18 years ago, it's the first car I've ever owned. Now obviously I claim this is due to my impeccable green credentials but in truth it's because I lived in London and didn't need one. Now I live 10 miles from the nearest town so it's a necessity really. Cornish bus service? Forget it.
Anyhow, it's a really nice little car with a proper fuck off stereo. I like it.![]()
