What bivalves go in paellae?

Proper paella - well, the best sort anyway, trad Valencian paella - contains no seafood at all. It is made with chicken and rabbit.

You forgot the snails...

That's an excellent picture of a giant paella - but, no, there are no snails in a paella valenciana.
 
There are, maybe less so now, but traditionally they were very commonly used due to being free and hardly a saleable commodity (unlike rabbit and chicken).
 
All the traditional village fiesta paellas I've been to have been pretty much exactly the same (although they varied in size from big to fucking huge). Mussels, rabbit, chicken, prawns, pork, rice and bags of herbs and saffron (or, imitation saffron usually).

You get to eat as much as you want for free at most :)
