What articles of clothing would you never wear?

I think I'd wear pretty much anything. But on a normal day to day basis, I wouldn't wear:

- heels that I can't walk in (this means I normally just wear converse, or flipflops if it's a bit summery)
- tops designed for girls with small breasts, cos mine just aren't
- sportswear unless I'm actually doing sport, which given my busted hip, is very unlikely
- those leggings Peaches Geldof has been wearing
- anything that shows off my stomach (at the moment at least - maybe after a diet)
- those fucking lame hen party things you get from claires accessories.

coz I'm tooo scaaared

I don't know. I don't really have any style so I think I'd probably wear anything if I thought I liked it in my head.

lots of shocking, dreadful and even worse UNCOMFY clothing mentioned on this thread..!
i'd never wear..a puff ball skirt or those high waisted trews with pleats..these items only look barely passable even if you weigh 8 stone :p

stilettos..ergh NEVER! had some as a teenybopper in NYC(even had some cigarette leg jeans to go with em)that lasted a few days til i fell down the stairs walking into a subway entrance(tube station in american)
no i wasnt badly hurt but..
i need to have the freedom to walk/run etc...sensible shoes for me,cant afford to take taxis everywhere hahaha:p

i do wear crocs shoes..got some during summer,VERY VERY comfortable.not at all like flipflops which are very uncomfy if you need to do some real walking.
a freind recommended them to me,at first i thought they looked wierd and i normally wouldnt spend £30 on ANY item of clothing(even coats) its worth the cash if you need light shoes for heavy walking.i didnt know celebs wear them..CRAP...no, i dont work for the company!

birkenstock sandals..dont think they look too brill either(prefer crocs looks wise)
got a cheapie fake pair of birkenstocks and i didnt think the fakes were really esp. comfy.
apprently the real things are VERY pricey:confused: are they worth it?

finally..any designer stuff, esp.stuff with designer names visable on the clothing..

This top that my mum bought me for my birthday last week....I'm 20 :D

and anything else similarly garish and girly...

Otherwise: miniskirts, proper high heels, clingy dress, boy cut jeans, see through top, beige suede, tassles, sequins, denim shirts, city shorts, cyberdog stuff etc etc....

SZC emailed me this top. :D It made my day. Very very bad.

I know what Cyberdog is of course, but not "City shorts" - what the hell are you on about missy?

Tights - no no no.
drainpipe jeans - alas, not with my thighs. :(
Mini-skirts - see above
Trousers with pleats at the waist -don't suit ANYONE

ahhh. aw, one of my fwends wears those and she looks very cool - i'm meeting her in a bit actually. she has a very very sexy curvy bum and they look really nice. :)

Cyberdog is techno trancey neon clubbing gear from Camden

I didn't know what city shorts were either, but now that I do I confess that I do wear them (although not pinstriped and not with turnups), as a concession to trying to be a little bit smart and ahem, *age-appropriate* occasionally, in a hot climate, with a sleeveless top. I have a brown linen-y looking pair that I quite like. :o

Are they still city shorts without pinstripes and turnups, or are they just narrow-ish culottes?

*shudder*

Actually, one of my friends has a pair of these and she just about gets away with them, actually they do look pretty good on her, I would personally rather be seen dead. I think they wouldn't suit me at all. Can't really wear them with trainers can you?

Though somepoint in the future I might force you to wear my beige swede 4" heel boots! :D

(I never wear them myself tbh, they're cool if they're dressed down and the extra height is nice but not worth the hassle)

Go on then, I'll make you wear The Top :p

(sorry mum :o )

The thing with city shorts is that *most* people who wear them look fucking awful, they are not very forgiving unfortunately.......I can see that they look good on the right person (rare) but I still wouldn't wear them. They'd look fucking awful on me anyway.

city shorts

I've got a curvyish bum and long legs, but the backs of my thighs are well dodgy, and I think they're quite forgiving in terms of covering up the bad and empahsizing the good. I am almost certainly deluded though.

I like that idea!

I'll wear The Top and a white mini skirt I have (for the beach, not for outside wearing!)

Actually, I could never bring myself to wear the skirt out in public....unless I get shitfaced first :D

I've seen loads of chicks rocking the city shorts look. Who knew Urban harboured such hostility towards them? They seem totally blah to me.

Anyway, stuff I wouldn't wear:

Fur
Skinny jeans, they make me look positively elephantine
Those horrible rubber clog things (Crocs?)
Brogues
Tapered leg trousers with pleats - why why why do they exist?
One of those clingy skin tight stretchy dresses, I guarantee I would look like a bag full of dogshit.

oh my word, they are DISGUSTING! and not only are they massive and huge and horrifically ungainly, but people seem to wear them in the brightest, most florescent colours known to man! as if they’re determined that you will (not a link lyra :p ) stare at their big bright feet!

Bah! I thought your very was a link then...clicking fruitlessly. :o :(
I did that too... But then it took me about a minute to realise that YOUR very was a link. I am very special when it comes to computers...

I think this is an ace idea. I could probably dress at least half of the people. There is a reason that my ex said I looked like I get dressed in the dark... 9though I like to think I have improved since then... *looks down at self... shakes head sadly*)

i LOATHE flourescent bright colours..

ive got a pair of crocs in black(just for comfort/practical reasons,im not tryin to be trendy/stylish :p haha) and i probably hate the bright ones even more than you do! i have seen a lot of small children wearing them or adults wearing them on beaches...they are more suitable then/there i guess

I wouldn't rule anything out, tbh. i have been known to dress like a chav when certain of b/fs mates come round for my own personal amusement :D

I quite like those city shorts - don't suit everyone, but practical i thought? don't have any though.

halterneck tops - wrong. sag in all the wrong places, imo :o
knee-high leather boots (been there, done that, bored now)
mini-skirts
plastic shoes
white socks
cardigans
those emo-kid belts with the metal studs
skinny/drainpipe jeans
kitten heels in combination with a sparkly top and a clutch bag
floaty scarves
trucker caps

...this is quite a list! :o

So far I've had to look up what "puffball skirts" are and what "city shorts" are.

Am I the most out of touch with fashion urbanite there is? :(

I also can't believe I forgot to put real fur on my little list. I'm quite happy prancing about in fun fur though :D
