What are your favourite sports stadiums?

yeah madejski is a good ground - holds about 23000, really good view from anywhere in the ground, but you are pretty high up in a lot of places and not that close to the pitch. facilities are good, but it's a bit of a bitch to get to/from cos it's so far out of town. it's built semi-underground in a kind of bowl so that when you walk in at ground level, you're actually halfway up the seating (- apparently that helps people in wheelchairs get a better view  )

Roosters........but that was because Souths had been kicked out of the league at that point.

You've gotta love a team who were kicked out for being useless, reinstated after a long campaign and are now happily bimbling along being useless once more. :)

which doesnt actually exist anymore.......full of houses and flats, because it attracted fuck all people

Showing that Reading's support these days consists largely of band wagon riders who will disappear pretty quickly just as soon as the money and success does.

I went to Elm Park a few times in the late 80s with a mate who lived in Reading.
One game we went to, there were a couple of people behind us who insisted on shouting "kick it, kick it" during the match. I think they were a bit simple or something.

Nat Bailey Stadium. It's within walking distance from my house, and it's a great place to take in an afternoon game in the summer.

only 6,500 JC2?? blimey!

It's not a major stadium, it's not the major leagues. It's our own well kept secret. I taught my daughter to drive in the parking lot.

Fenway Park - Home of the Boston Red Sox & one of the last old school ball parks..

What's there now? Have they built on it yet? Last time I went past (on my way to the dogs....must have been at least 4 years ago...) the turnstiles etc were still there...

could some of them have perhaps been attracted by watching footy in a new stadium?

Of the football grounds I've been to I would have to list them in preference as:

1. Millennium Stadium
2. Nou Camp
3. Bernebeau
4. Anfield
5. San Siro
6. Old Trafford
7. Westfalenstadion
8. Stamford Bridge
9. Lokomotiv Stadium (Moscow)
10. Vicente Calderon

Obviously Ninian Park has the best atmosphere though.

Ones I want to go to are:

Newcastle
Celtic
Juventus
Maracana

Living the other side of South London, I have not seen PL for years. But it has been sold for housing & has been cleared. Not sure of they have a planning issue due to the electricty pylons overhead.
The funny thing is that Sam Hamman brought the club out of the covenant on the ground which stated that the site could only be a sports ground in 1983.
