What are you having/have you had for your tea?

Last night I made a chickpea curry... the ingredients for it (apart from the rice and spices) cost 80p. It tasted gorgeous and fed two of us with a portion left over to freeze :D

Last night I had jerk chicken and chips. Then later I had some pineapple jelly with aerosol cream.

Tonight we're having antipasti (salami, olives, grilled halloumi), mozzarrella (brought back from Rome) tomato, basil salad and then spaghetti pesto with grated pecorino (also brought back from Rome).

Tiramisu for dessert perhaps..mmmh :)

Fuck knows. I have no money so cannot afford the luxury of being able to buy my own food. For some reason my mum bought beans but nothing that can be eaten with beans, e.g. jacket potato, bread, chips. In fact all she's bought is beans   :(

i had a pasty from that tradional cornish pasty place in Oxford Street earlier on this afternoon.
And I've just had some garlic bread.

I'm mostly eating chewing gum this evening... I've not tried a chewing gum sandwich before tho'. Not sure if mrs1798 would approve tho'.

Mmmm, roast chicken thighs and legs, slathered in harissa before going in the oven, prob cook some potatoes/carrots etc on the side.

<dribbles>

home made lamb burgers lightly seasoned with rosemary, garlic and black pepper.
boiled potatoes
mushrooms fried in a bit of the lamb fat with some garlic

it was rather nice.

Chicken breasts rubbed with grain mustard, red wine vinegar and brown sugar. With cherry tomatoes and asparagus.

Now Mr BK is asleep on the sofa, so much for romantic dinners.

Bottle of £8 red wine to wash down this little beauty of a fish pie: salmon, kings prawns, smoked haddock and rosti taties with chedder - with a bit of black pepper!

Zenie doesn't know what she's missing with not liking sea food :(

Had a seafood ramen from Wagamama at 5 (very early for me) - it was alright (better for being on a 2 for 1 offer :p ;) :D ) saved us the effort of cooking at least, but I could've done better myself - but have also just had some prawns on a slice of wholemeal bread with mayo and lettuce, simply because the prawns had to be eaten today.

Might have a bag of Ringos in a bit too.

Yes. But they're not that nice - I cooked them on Tuesday and they've been in the fridge since then.

God - this is like having the press go through yer bins   :p

innit. It was the first hot food he's had (or his nostrils start bleeding  )

poor thing!

otherwise, it's old bread for me as have been too busy to go shopping and the cupboards have been empty since Thursday. May pimp it up a bit with olive oil. Thought I was too old for this stupid student food business. :(

(dreams of decent meal)

tonight i plan to eat a combination of noodles, bacon or chorizo , egg (although they are very stale) and cheese. i am thinking either a soup, as i have some miso so could have noodley soup with chunks of hard boiled egg and chorizo, or pasta with a sauce of tinned tomatos, herbs, chorizo and cheese. whichever i have tonight, i shall have the other tomorrow. it will then be pasta, tinned tomatos and herbs untill next saturday, when i have time, and can afford to go food shopping :)

Luxury fish pie with peas and tiramisu later.

I also want a sandwich made out of ciabatta, milano salami, sundried tomatoes and fried halloumi.

Mmhhh.

chicken cooked with red onion, chorizo, chick peas, mushrooms and home grown tomatoes :)

all washed down with vodka :D

Corned beef, chips and peas.

Yum! :)
I just had a corned beef and horseradish sarnie....dunno what BL wants when he emerges from his sick bed*, but I'll prepare it with love, the lucky man....

* He's had an op on his polyps....which have been hanging over his head for some time (old family joke, that).

Marinated chicken wings (garlic, ginger, spring onions, soy etc), courgettes stuffed with tomatoes, onions, garlic, feta and errrr....more courgette (all homegrown - except the feta obviously :p and we have a glut of courgettes so....) and homemade oven chips/roasties.

I'm going for tea number two. Homemade lentil and bacon soup.

Might as well eat it before it goes off
