Why don't you just have normal porridge? :D

SZC - you know about food an' that so mebbe you can answer my question. I started eating porridge about a fortnight ago, but I was hungrier than ever in the morning, certainly way more hungry than when I had a bowl of Special K

It was just yer basic microwave oats divided into portions - certainly nothing fanci like Oatso Simple. To it I added milk to make it and then some fruit and nut/seed combo.

Someone in my office said that by making it with milk rather than water made it a higher GI than it's normal magic low GI'ness...that can't be right, surely?

As for this thread I had a banana and a couple of jaffa cakes.

Milk's protein, so would make no difference to the GI. Is it sweetened porridge you're having?

I had a croissant, a weetabix with skimmed milk and lots of yogurt on top as well, a piece of cake and a cappucino.

I don't think so...will have a look at the box when I get home, but I'm pretty sure it's plain bog standard porridge made a bit more convenient. It certainly don't taste sweetened...

Maybe I'm just not having a big enough portion!
