What are them scarves called

Pot Noodles? Someone's living the high life aren't they? S'all Lidl's Soviet surplus 10p noodles these days. And if I were to part with them I'd probably be obliged to buy a Mr T or Transformers t-shirt instead, otherwise I think they throw you out of uni.

How would I know these things, I've never been :o

Since when has that mattered?

Some people who wear these keffiyeh scarf thingies don't even know what they're called. ;)

Even students are stupid enough to wear clothing with someones face on it who they have no idea who it is...... I do teach students, so have an inkling into their psyche......

Their more interested who's got the biggest holes in their ears and whos got the most stars tattooed on them.

You should be pleased you've lost it, not replace it & never wear one again.

Unless you actually want to look like a tool.

Sod off you :p

I've had/have several of them over the years. they're good when you're on the bike, they're cosy, you can wear them as a shawl(if you're a girlie) and they can be worn to keep your head cosy.

Haven't worn mine since they got trendy though :hmm: And mine are REAL ones, not fashion ones.

lucky for them eh :D

quite...... a dyspraxic teaching english probably wouldnt have the best turn out :D

I bought 2 for a tenner...... they're apparently being posted from israel, got a white and black and a white and red...... not into the whole poncy colour jazz.

I've got one, keeps the sun off the back of my neck on days out and can also be used to carry wrapped chips in instead of a plastic bag.

They are readily available in the shops in Portugal. I can't remember how much they are though. When I get back next week I could have a look for you. They come in loads of colours too.

I was wearing one today strolling in the sunshine and rain through Banglatown. I'm an urban groover *cough*

Last year? Me and most of my friends wore them in the mid-eighties!

Yeah, I wore them then as well - but lots of things popular in the 80s are making a comeback now (most of them are not good).

Keffiyeh is the Palestinian name I think, and they tend to wear the black and white ones. I'm watching The Frankincense Trail on BBC2 and they are in Saudi Arabia, where the red and white ones seem the most common.

My friend just came back from Egypt and they had to wear them to go into the desert.

Excellent, I'll get out the dubbing for my leather biker jacket.

*brushes off the moths*

I once wore mine in at uni, sitting in a lecture in my Terrorism module whilst we were covering the PLO/PLF/Palestinian situation, all unintentionally, obvs.
