Get one of these instead and don't wear any:
Bought some Musto Evolution Technical Socks for sailing the other day. They are as awesome as they sound
Another vote for Bridgedales, these:
Best socks ever
Hogg's woollen socks from the local farmer's shop. Keep your feet warm but they're £6 a pair. Atm I'm wearing a pair of long navy fishermans's socks which I got from a charity shop for 50 p, pretty comfortable .
That's a great name for a sock, isn't it?
-Tell me, what sort of socks are you wearing?
- Why I'm wearing Musto Evolution Technicals.
- Is that all? I'm wearing Übermensch Survival Of the Fittests myself.
- Yeah, my Eugenic Triumph Of The Wills are in the wash.
lasted fucking three years
You're supposed to put them on your feet
that's where they've been
I bet they smell good
@NVP you NEED knee length socks for when you're wearing your kilt!!
If Scottish blokes are all totally in touch with their feminine side that's perfectly cool with me.
On geminisnake's recommendation I have now purchased a pair of these:
The "Hoggs Of Fife Adventure Long Sock" no less. Just this side of nine quid inc P&P.
If you like them let me know and I'll check what price they are at the farmers shop next time I'm in Forfar. Might be cheaper than getting them online.
Cheers. They certainly look very very comfy from the pic. I went for the 75% wool ones.
I like them a lot, thank you. Very very comfy indeed. I'll give you a shout if I need some more. Only minor criticism is that their large (size 7-11) is a bit little. I'm a 9.5 normally and these fit me snugly. If I had size 11 feet they'd be too small, I bet. But very nice socks other than that, lots of padding round the soles and ankles and what-have-you.
I am a 10.5
I've never met any but I think it's because Scottish people are Hobbit-like, dwarvenfolk.
I like Uniqlo knee-length heat tech socks in the winter. Must stock up before they disappear.
You've never met any what you wind up merchant??
the mythical scotchman
My goat socks are still good after all this time. Don't think I've ever found such hard wearing socks before.
i've never met a filipino. i don't believe in them.
Scottish people. I imagine them to be a bit like this:
He's wearing Hoggs of Fife socks. I'd put money on it.
bridgedales for me
husband will only buy these socks. has done for years.
Hoggs of Fife are going to be casually dropped into conversation at every opportunity in the run-up to Xmas, I think.
So I didn't stay at yours or go to Amsterdam then, neither did my daughter??? Both Scots
Glad you are still happy with them
