What age were you at your first football game?

8, Cov v Leyton Orient, Highfield Rd on a cold winter's Wednesday night. Can't remember the score, but seem to think it was a draw. Anyone know a site where you can look up scores from donkey's years ago?

I had to leave England to see a game live, so around 15-16 I watched an inter-school game. Since then, fairly regularly. Most advanced gaming I've see was the FIFA U-20 World Cup last year in Ottawa.

The only sporting event we went to in England was Rugby and I was a babe when I first attended a game. I was eight when I saw my last game.

No probs - from here which is a great resource. even if it does end up listing all Wimbledon's pre 2002 results as 'MK Dons'
That's great, i can now confirm that the result of my first game was indeed 2-2 and that it took place on 13 November 1976.

I can also tell you that my daughter's first game took place on 20 April 1992, on the North Bank at Highbury, aged 8 months, when the Gunners beat Liverpool by a handsome 4-0 scoreline. Struggling to remember the scorers that day, think super-swede Anders Limpar might have bagged himself one and i seem to remember Wrighty getting one, possibly 2.

1993, I was 9 or 10 and my brother took us to watch Cardiff v Scarborough at the Mcain Stadium. City were top of the 3rd division well on the way to promotion and it was a right party. I'd never experienced anything like it... I was quiet for the first 10 minutes and then just stood on a terrace crush barrier shouting for the next 80. Bloody brilliant. We won 3-1.

One of the best days ever. :)

i think i have posted this before, went to a couple of city games when i was about 7 or 8 and shouted for the opposition teams, the first was chelsea i think, the first proper game was at Old Trafford when i was 14 a 2-2 with birminghan city, first game of the 76/77 season, brum were my first away game too, same season, i had just turned 15 and we won 3-2

I was 8, it was 1991, and England U17s played Wales U17s at Huish Park in Yeovil. I can't remember anything of the game other than that Wales had some unknown left winger from Manchester United playing for them. I wonder what became of him....

Mine... I was... <checks> ... eight or nine years old?

Arsenal beat Chelsea 3-0.

I remember it being in '78, but the internet suggests it was probably Boxing Day '77.

5, Rangers beat Dunfermline 3-0 at Ibrox. I remember it being bloody freezing, my dad and grandad getting very excited when Rangers scored and me crying because Dunfermline was where I was born so they were nicer and the big boys weren't letting them have a proper go :( :D

19. But I have very faint memories of being in a stadium when was 4 or 5, don't know it was a proper match, or just visiting the local club's ground.

i was 7. it was Luton v Ipswich at Kenny Road in the old first division (1985) and we won 3-1 with a brace from mick harford and another goal from (i think) emeka nwajiobi. Ricky Hill hit the bar. i particularly remember steve foster's headband and the electronic scoreboard with funny men jumping up and down on it when we scored:)
