i hasn't taken pics of the carrots cos they're still sprouting away madly in seed trays, probably growing shallow mutant carrots

^^^^ assortment of flowers and tings outside my door

It's basil. Still in the shop pot. I'm sure it should have died by now as I haven't pulled half of it out and I've been known to kill geraniums. :o

if you need to re-pot it, it seems to like living in orange juice cartons cut down, with holes in the bottom :)

ps you made *that* call yet? eh? ;)

Would a mango juice carton suffice? Do I need extra earth? :o

(call made after your prod! And they're open at 4pm today so I'm going to pootle over and pick up forms...)

(nice one! see - i know the prodding'd be worth it ;))
yup that'd do fine :)
maybes a little bit more, if it's bigger than what it's in at the moment.

(I've got the registration forms and an appointment with the nurse next week!)

I might just leave poor old basil where he is. He's been surviving since sunday and that's a rather long time.. :D

pick 'em off wivva stick and hurl 'em across the garden : mad :

moar veg has arrived at tufty towers... cauli, swede, french bean, tomatoes, possibly broccoli and something else...

Fucking hell, I'm impressed at people's stuff on here

My sunflowers are tiny weedy things, and although me chilis have sprouted, they've done little else. Think they're too busy surviving the downpours :(

Most of it was there when we moved in (apart from the tomatoes) - but I've been feeding them, so they've all exploded! My favourite is wild rocket, been having lots of it, and mint.

everyone's stuff is teh ace

i've just freecycled a load of angelica seeds :)
then i googled to find out exactly what they were...

http://www.thais.it/botanica/erbeamore/schede/angelica_uk.htm

'tis a herb "able to encourage enthusiasm, initiative and passion... for adults who wish to regain youth and agility.
An excellent "Wine tonic" is prepared by soaking 30 gms of Angelica roots and 20 gms of Gentian roots in a litre of good red wine for one week. Drunk in small glasses before meals, it increases energy and helps digestion. It is said that Annibal Camoux, who died at the age of 120 in 1759, continually chewed Angelica roots.
Angelica liqueur prepared with:

# 45 gms Angelica stems
# 1,250 litres Grappa
# 750cc Water
# 1 kg. Sugar

Soak the chopped stems for four days in the Grappa. Add sugar and soak for a further week. Filter and bottle"

wahey!

I'm mainly growing slugz and snailz, and the odd geranium they haven't bothered with. :(

i guess posting a picture of a cup full of mould isn't quite in the spirit of this thread is it?

Tomatoes are looking a bit bedraggled, but they're looking healthier than a couple of week ago, so I still have hope...

Got some on the backyard that are looking a bit more productive though....
