We've lit the fire

I'm far too tight to have the fire on at this time of year.
Just buy a dell laptop and that will keep you nice and warm.

Oh fuck - you've just reminded me. I got an email from IT yesterday saying I should take the battery out of my PC in case it spontaneously combusts  :D

[types message on Dell laptop  ]

Central Heating went on three days ago - then the pilot light went out and wouldn't go back on again.

Thank the Big 'un up there that I had a pair of forceps or the kind heating engineer dude would have had to rip out the entire boiler to undo the screws on the thermocouple.

My fave time of year, autumn. :D

it's wonderful, i get all melancholic but in a good way and start making stews and soups again, and walking in woods / on the beach without getting all hot and sweaty.

Anyway, fire on again tonight and am just about to get back to knitting the socks I've promised myself will be ready for me to wear as soon as autumn is here properly - almost finished the first one
