£1 an hour! How big is your house?

We had a £400 gas bill from November to March last year, 4 months. £100 a month. £3.33 a day.
Actually, we probably had the heating on for an hour in the morning, then 4 hours in the evening, so I'd estimate it costs 67p an hour to have the heating on.
Of course this doesn't include showers and cooking, so maybe make it 55p an hour.
Ah well, still costs a lot!![]()

Orang Utan said:Four hours in the evening is a lot though, even in the winter! We don't have high ceilings but a through lounge with double patio doors that are open most of the time, with the heating on, so I'd still look into it
but we dry clothes on the radiators and cos of the shit summer have hardly dried stuff outside
(I love a hot house) & the cooker is gas as is the fireit's 16oC in the library at my workATOMIC SUPLEX said:I had to work out how it all worked this morning (new house and all).
Bit too chilly. 17oC inside is one degree under what is recomended for baby Suplexes.
and we pay about that for a 3 bed house( small) in the depths of winter!Orang Utan said:That ain't right! We pay £60 a month for gas and leccy in a 2 bed flat
but then its a teeny house and we have a condenser boiler which is very cheap to run
