I suspect there'd be at least one instance in any where serving food with a high turnover of low paid staff, that would put peple off eating there if they thought about it every time they went in.

For the time being all we can deduce is Gerry1time had a skanky girfriend, nothing to disturbing to me.

I've had alright pub grub in Spoons before. I've even worked in their kitchens (and yes, everything is ding cooking). But I had a burger there a few weeks ago and it was fucking horrible. The taste wasn't so much the problem, it was more the fact that it made me feel slightly nauseous for the next 24hrs. Not food poisoning, so I'm guessing just the amount of fat and chemical crap that goes into their food.

Most of their food was 3663 IIRC.

I have a weakness for the Wetherspoons large mixed grill. Generally in Wetherspoons I stay away from the stuff with sauces and the like, whcih are microwaved gloop, but the grilled and fried stuff is okay. I did have a gourmet burger in the one in Greenwich the other week. It was quite tasty, but I did wonder what noise it made when it was alive. The portion of chips was a bit miserly as well.
