Brady was great for us. Exquisite close control, able to create space for himself and a magical left foot.

I really should leave now as I haven't been to a West Ham came for 20 years.

You know that film "Final Score" which the club keeps promoting? It stars some wrestler and Pierce Brosnan and, at the end, Upton Park gets blown up. I keep getting adverts for it from the club, which is a bit weird.

Guess who the Executive Producer is? Go on. :D

Are they doing this on fucking purpose?

    About three feet shorter.

    Russian hat.

I mean that's got to be a massive co-incidence? "Hmmm, we're making this film where we blow up a football stadium. Where are we going to find.... David! Karren! I've had this great idea!"

    Little fucker.

Interesting stats on reported PL attendances for West Ham and some big clubs.
Football club attendances: Are fans getting the full picture?

Amazing how that's Everton and Chelsea who "haven't played their best". :hmm:

If only the God in human form Yarmolenko had managed to hit that open net.

Still 4 pts off the last two. Things are picking up. Just Man Utd and Tottenham in the next three and then we might start playing some teams who didn't finish in the top 6 last year.

I still stand by what I said at the start of the season, that you'll finish at least around the top half.

Not a bad display from West Ham I thought, defended well in numbers and tried to counter atatck although I would have hated to have been the lone striker. Most clear cut opportunity went to West Ham although it would have been a total injustice and I think that must have been on preying on Yarmolenko's mind. Chelsea bossed the game but final passing was dire. Jorginho will be setting a Prem League record for passes in one season by Xmas.

You had lots of possession but not sure "total injustice" is a term I would use. Decent chances were pretty equal. Thought a draw was fair enough.

    Hahahahahahahaha.

The top 6 in this league aren't catchable without massive amounts of spending (Man City, Chelsea, Man Utd) or an addiction to arson and general low level criminality (Tottenham)

Thats what i did! He was bloody serious though, i think there's two types of fans that follow the premier league now. The diehard season ticket holders that are sensible and realistic, then the sky tv/talksport generation, who've never stepped foot in a stadium but make the most noise. These gonks keep fuckwits like Adrian Durham in food and water

It's a shit league. You spend a third of the year hoping you don't get beat 5-0. I only care about West Ham, could not give a fuck about the rest of it.

It is. I was speaking to a normal palace fan today, he said the same and doesn't/wouldn't mind relegation because the season you get promoted back up and all that entails is the best bit. He won't witness that in the premier. Sky and the other spivs on the gravey train don't understand that, all we want to see is our team win football matches and be competitive. How many times can you sit and admire the likes of Aguero, Ronaldo etc, rip your team apart!

I get that, and I dislike the money/PR/political aspect of modern football as much as the next guy. But.

Given that the league system is a pyramid, and that this system rewards winners with more money/PR/clout, isn't it a structural feature of league football that winners take all and hierarchies become entrenched?

The yanks have of course gone a different route showing at least that it's possible, if not exactly desirable, to organise competitive football in other ways than ours.
