There was no precedent for points deduction for such offences.
Enough said.

sleaterkinney said:If there was no precedent then why did the FA say that points would normally be deducted in a case like this but not in this case because west ham might be relegated?

They said it in their official ruling, you're one to talk about special dispensation after fergie picked the everton team the other week.revol68 said:when and where did they say that?
anyway as a supporter of Special Dispensation FC you really should keep quiet, atleast West Ham's actions won't see the whole league relegated!![]()

The most annoying thing about all this is the whelan, mccabe and co are shouting very loudly. Unfortunately they don't seem to have understood the actual facts of the case but cos they're shouting so loudly people who aren't as interested / obsessed by it as myself end up believing stuff that isn't true.
Hence a chain letter being sent to people on a sheff utd website foaming at the mouth about "ineligible players" and how west ham have been found guilty of the same offence as bury and aldershot.
it doesn't help that the press also, by and large, haven't understood what the actual facts of the case are. People just seem to be stoking each other up into more and more righteous indignation, all based on inaccurate statements.
IMO. obviously.

MP said:He added that he felt it was "one rule for one club and one rule for another club", citing the points deduction non-league AFC Wimbledon received in similar circumstances in February as evidence.

With this joker involved, anything could happen...Fifa president Sepp Blatter says he will look into how the Premier League handled West Ham's breach of rules.
