..i wonder what im not getting/understanding in the film. i like "rushmore" loads and thought "tennebaums" was quite decent..but after his latest i wonder if anderson has lost it totally?

I loved Rushmore, but nothing he did after. When I see a Wes Anderson film I'm always puzzled as to how a films can consist of so many great individual elements and yet be utterly unengaging and lifeless.

I think his films look great and feel like they should be enormous fun. Somehow I am always looking forward to the next one despite nothing after the fantastic Rushmore really being up to the hype.

I also want to say that the Holy Bible is a shit album and wonder why being middle class is a hanging offence?

It's not a hanging offence at all, there is plenty of good shit set around middle class characters, Anderson's crap isn't it though.

Also I'd doubt very many people here who think of themselves as middle class are middle class like Anderson or his fictional creations.
