Got suspended once or twice for a few *ahem* incidents where I may have tried to do serious damage to teachers. One particularly memorable one involved me chucking a large, steel ruler at some maths teacher's head :o

I got a 3-week suspension and "6 of the best" for punching a teacher in the face. :o

In my defence, I'd just been hit around the head with a bunsen burner being swung by its' rubber hose and had blood running down my face into my eyes, and the teacher (a nasty little perv who has since been locked in chokey for paedo activities) got in my way.

The deputy head tried to give me two lots of six of the cane because I laughed at him after he doled out the first six, but I reminded him that he was limited to six by statute. I think I might have also pissed him off by reminding him he was in in loco parentis and had to take me to the hospital to get my head x-rayed and stitched. :p

Got suspended three times in less than a year from my first secondary school for refusing to do any work or homework and refusing to attend detentions. Was asked to leave during the holidays, but returned and they let me stay...That was until I shaved every hair on my head off, that was the last straw for them, I got booted.

Next School over three years got suspended 4 times, once for smoking, twice for assaulting some kids that were trying (unsuccessfully :D) to bully me, and once for distributing pornography. :o

I was told I wouldn't be allowed back to do my A levels at the school I did my O levels at, for being persistently lippy, smoking, etc.

Then during my A levels my brother and I got suspended for smoking dope, we never got caught but everyone knew we did it so when they caught some others at it we got hauled into the head's and questioned. We just shrugged and said "yeah, so what?" and they gave us a week at home to get extra caned.

i got a mini exclusion because i refused to attend 5 detentions in a row because they were for a bullshit reason. My parents even backed me up over it because it was bullshit.

The detention was originally received for get this...having lunch on the front lawn of my mates flat, and all 6 of us had lunch passes signed by our parents to say that we didnt have to stay in school for our lunches. There we were eating chips minding our own business being 15 year old girls and then wham the biggest fucking nastiest teacher arrives and gives us detentions for disregarding school rules which was fucking bullshit...but anyway i hated her she made my life a misery picking on me (miss Dennis your earings are too big, Miss Dennis those are not regulation tights, Miss Dennis those are not regulation shoes etc etc) ...thankfully she died a few years back of what it turns out was a fucking nasty illness. And yes thats a nasty thing to say but i mean i hated her.

I fucking hated school.

Yeah big hooped earings and shock horror fishnets and even worse....topped off with 12 hole DM's with tippexed Nirvana faces on them, we were tough punk chickets......or so we thought :D

Yep. Expelled twice.

First time was a few weeks into the Spring term when I was 13.

Second time was a few weeks into the Spring term when I was 17.

As for suspensions I have had more than I can remember. I think just under ten.

That's exactly what happened to me.

Went to the another school for sixth form but dropped out after a few weeks. Did my A levels at college in my mid-twenties, and finally got a degree at the age of 40.

a serious truant (often not showing up for a week at a time)
You call that serious. I took whole terms off, months at a time. :p

I remember having to intercept letters to my parents. We weren't on the phone then so it may life easy for me. :)

I'm not reading the whole thread but that poll is flawed ! What happens if you went to one school , was asked to leave ( told not come back in my case ) and then suspended from your new school ( within' 8 days of starting there ) .

I got through school without even a detention, cos i am a girly swot.

My dad was on the board of governors and on the discpline committee, and once I'd left told me some very frightening stories about some of the people I went to school with, mainly to do with knives stabbings, and 13 year olds being sent in to school with lots of drugs to sell on behalf of their parents.

Was glad to leave in all honesty, was bullied most of the way through.

When I was about 13 I was suspended for a day for telling a Greek teacher (the teacher was Greek not the subject) to "Piss off Stavros you Greek git". Rather foolishly they gave the notification of my suspension to me to take home to my parents. Obviously it never reached it's intended recipient and I got a day off dossing around Chatham.

After I'd finished the fifth form I was informed in no uncertain terms that I would not be welcome back into the Sixth form. Suited me fine as I never had any intention of going back anyway.

Did you tell Miss Andraes to pee off?? I liked her.

Or was there another greek teacher?

I was never excluded or anything but I think I was the first (at our school) to leave pregnant.

I was quite unlucky to be Frank when was suspended but I never have good luck. Anyhow we had a teacher Mr D I willleave his 2nd name out. Well Mr D had a very funny accent(well anyone different when your 13 is) and always warned of fire. But the way he said Fire was like Fiya(almost like an overacted south wales accent). So everone used to shout FIIIYYAA at him in the playground etc. One day Mr d must ave been n a bugger of a mood and decided to make an examle of someone. So silly me shouts Fiiyaa at him and got caught. :o

He then took me up the heads and was told I was suspended fora few days and had that long lonley walk home knowing when I get in my mums going to give me a bawling. odly enough she wasn't that bothered.

a chemistry teacher said i swore in his class, which i didn't.
he sent me out of the room, threatened to break my nose when he was talking to me alone outside, and asked for a letter of apology.
i refused to write the letter, got suspended.

i saw him in the street about three years ago. i think he shat himself.

Was 'dragged' back into school...

Well, I thought a five day week was a bit much - so had most Mondays off for a while.

Apparently kids don't get to make this choice and there was talk of someone coming round my house on a Monday to 'wake' me up.

Loved school mind, just liked weekends a bit more :o :p :D

Yes, the first time my math teacher threw a board rubber at me then threw my pencil case out of the window for sneezing in class so i threw his briefcase out of the window.
The second time was when i became pregnant.

I was a bit of a geeky swot so managed to escape with only a couple of detentions and an attack from a slipper. Mind you, our head (Peter Dawson) was the role model for John Cleese's character in Clockwise. He used to take binos up to the roof of the school and check who was mis-behaving and call them to his office after lunch! The Deputy Head (Mr Philips) was built like a brick-shithouse and was rumoured to do run-ups when using the cane!

yes, suspended once for coming into School totally pissed on cheap rum and making a tit of myself by laughing very loudly at the teachers then vomiting in the corridor.

though in 5th year (or whatever it is called now) I did stop going to school, instead prefering to ride around on a dodgy nicked moped and hang around the local park/shops/other peoples houses with all the other local lads who didnt go to school either. Cant say missing the last year of school affected my life much, as a year later I went to the local FE college, got very good results on my GCSE's and met a very good bunch of lads whilst there who I took a lot of acid with.

I got suspended from school a couple of times before getting expelled. The first time was for bulying. I'd left an abusive message on the answer phone of some kids mobile which he then played to the head teacher who in turn played it to my mum! Also his phone showed when the message was left so they found out I was suppossed to be in a science lesson :o I guess I deserved that one really.

The second time was for skipping a detention. They sent us a leeter home saying if we did not attend a make-up detention on friday we would be internally suspended (which meant sitting outside the head's office) the letter however didn't arrive untill saturday! When we explained this to the head she said she believed us but was gonna suspend us anway!!! So as soon as she went into her office i was outta there and didn't go back for a couple of days when the head said I really should be in school and there was no further punishment

Then finally I got expelled for "intimidating members of staff/sexual harrasment" which one it was depended on the mood of the etachers what actually happened is that about 20 of us including some prefects got in a big circle round the teacher and followed the all break time chanting circle at them. Then they decided to expell the 4 'ringleaders' (read: the ones they didnt like)

Got suspended from college for getting arrested outside a college party. Even though I was never found guilty. I tried to convince them that having a go at the cops for kicking your mate in the head was a good not a bad thing but they didn't see it that way  But I enjoyed the 5 days off so i didn't argue about it too much.

My favourite story is when my mate got suspended. The PTA cuboard had been left open with loads of boxes of sweets in it and obviously we thought we'd help ourselves. We'd already got our share then our mate went in while we were round the corner walked out of the cuppoard with handsfulls of sweets and the deputy head catches him so my mate says 'It wasn't me' even tho he'd just walked out of the cupboards with the sweets still in his hands :D The deputy head then hunted us all down to search us for sweets we found out and ditched them so when she searched us we had none except for my mate adrian (the fattest out of the lot os us) who had sweets falling out the bottom of his trousers! seems he just couldnt give them up :D that lead to a suspension and a banning from the school disco!

was "asked to leave" 6th form 4 months before all my a levels

i hit rebellious

oh that and all the fighting and stuff like nearly setting fire to the 6th form
block

screwed my life up for a short while

so remember kids when you give someone a wiring digram involving a step DOWN transformer make sure they connect it the correct way round. ANd when they dograss you up for providing said network diagram dont beat the shit out of them whilst the rest of the school watches going "fight fight fight"...

Yes, was suspended for buying alcohol on a school trip.

Only got caught because one of the other girls puked on the bus on the way home.. then grassed on me.

Stupid cow.

I think I got expelled, not too sure since me and my parents pretend my 2 year long teenage 'episode' never happened. :o

I was really depressed when I was in third year at secondary school and I kept taking overdoses and couldn't see the point of going to school since I was trying to erm...die. :o
Unfortunately Education Welfare got involved and forced me back to school, they said next time I bunked off my Dad would go to prison.

Anyway, I complied, but one night I took a huge overdose and didn't expect to see the morning. Imagine my schock when I found myself woken by my Dad the next day and bundled off to school. A couple of lessons in I sort of collapsed and had to be taken to hospital.

I got shoved in a teenage unit for fucked-up kids and when I got out 9 months later my school wouldn't have me back. :o

I got suspended from the teenage unit for trying to have a revolution too. :D Not many people who get sent home from somewhere they're being forcibly held!

I got expelled for nicking a photocopier to start a fanzine. Think the Catholic school I went to was happy to have one less punk to contend with.

never got suspended for hacking into staff internal phone system, throwing a few petrol bombs near the school minibuses whilst dressed in Klan uniforms, creating a 30 ft column of flame out a 2nd floor window at midnight, looting a couple of school building or a bunch of other far less imaginative shit..

but then we never got caught for any of those :)
