To have a proper Assembly we need to see it reaching out across Wales, not just Cardiff... (

Unfortunately you're possibly right, if it had the full and correct sovereign powers it would be more relevant though ?

Quite so but none of the parties standing in these elections are calling for sovereignity to be taken by the Assembly. A position I'm happy to support btw. In other words none of the parties standing support a fully ndependent state.

Ah but Plaid are calling for a referendum in 2011 on a Scottish-style arrangement for Wales. That'd be the logical move to the next step, then we'd have the ability to call a referendum on outright independence from London control (though Plaid's position in the tradition of Gwynfor Evans would not be to impose borders or passports).
