Wellington Boots

I've got some hunters farmers wellies :D cheaper than the fashion ones (about 25 quid I think)... and fit my larger calves nicely.

I wonder where I can buy them, like, on the highstreet, cos I can't be bothered with buying them online, if they're wrong I won't send them back because I am lazy and post office queues make me want to have a Michael Douglas in Falling Down style meltdown.

Selfridges.

(for when you come up next)

Selfridges is like a posh Peacocks for you West country people ;)

TK Maxx occasionally have some in. Failing that, try Millets, Blacks, Oswald Bailey. There must be half a dozen shops that sell wellies in Broadmead and Cabot Circus.

Yeah you're right, I haven't actually thought about it. It's because I generally only shop in the clothes shops, the high streety ones, you'd think they'd cash in on the festival season wouldn't you?

Topshop have Hunter ones but they are over £15. By a long way.

TK Maxx also brings out mental impatient meltdown in me, similar to post office reaction, but I might have to risk it.

Mmm maybe, schuh tends to be pretty expensive though.

Honestly all I want is some shitty black dunlop ones, or something, maybe I should ask someone to drive me to b&q

We have Go Outdoors, is it similar?

EG, what about Marcruss Stores?

Go Outdoor can be good if you have a large one, Yeomans is a really old fashioned style shop.

Go Outdoors do have a website, so you could see if they have what you like, then check you local store has them before you go down.

Not used Marcruss before I'm afraid.

Fucking awful footwear. Blisters, skin-irritation and trench-foot all in one vile package.

If you must, try your local farm factors - They will have tons of them, cheap.

Walking from Soho to Oxford Circus tonight, I saw 4 different girls wearing patterned, posh wellies!!

wtf!! Cunts! It was only slightly cloudy!!

I have this problem (or I think I would have this problem, not actually having tried any wellies on).

I ordered these from Amazon, which I am hopeful will go over my calves.

Obviously they are no good for summer but they should come in handy in the winter.

They just arrived and they fit me! Bring on the snow!

Camden Lock have a stall just to the right as you come out of the station - every pattern imaginable, and the shorter ones fit my mahhosive calves. I have the skulls and roses ones. Niece has fruit and veg! Cost £12 - £20. I've also got some navy short well-behaved ones for work.

we're dooooooooooooooooooomed.:D

It's a shame that Pogo wasn't at Glasto in the glory years of the Riceman, who used to be the last act on at the comedy marquee for years.

Old Riceman would be pounding the audience with his rice cannon whilst punters were pelting him him handfuls of basmati. Poor old Pogo would be in his alarmist element.
:D

LOL @ these: http://www.hunter-boot.com/2/1/Shop...hort/BLACK/W23621_BLK.aspx?pindex=0&sw=W23621

I have hunter lace-ups, but only paid $30. I hate them so much - the edges rubbed on my legs and my skin is so soft it rubbed off. Took 4 months for the scars to go away.

run a hot soldering iron round the rim to melt it so its not such a tough edge.

EG - the camping shop in hotwells does wellies or there's a big Go Outdoors on the ?Bath Rd just up from the cemetery.

I got a pair of these. 'Dunlop Aciforts' ennit, they're phat :D

Steel toed/soled an shit ya know. £20 quid I think they were :hmm:
