Welldone Hull City

Tragedy! When you lose control and you got no soul
It's tragedy! When the morning cries and you don't know why
It's hard to bear. With noone to love you, you're going nowhere!

Congratulations to Hull City and well deserved. Close game, could have gone either way, but a great goal won it so no complaints from me.

Brilliant day yesterday despite the result, deafening atmosphere and there was a great camaraderie between the two sets of fans. All of the Hull fans I met after the game were fantastic and gracious and sympathetic in their victory (especially the bloke that bought us drinks, cheers!) and in turn I think all the Bristol City fans were gracious and magmanimous in defeat. And still at midnight the pubs around Wembley were ringing to the sounds of 'Keep the red flag flying high' and 'We'll always believe', while strangely the Hull fans were rather more reserved in their celebrations.

Certainly there was a general consensus as two small clubs who no one else gave a cat in hell's chance of even getting near the playoffs, that we are all delighted it's Hull in the premier league, rather than any one of Palace, Watford, Wolves etc. Personally I see no reason to expect that Hull will 'do a Derby' next season and I for one really fucking hope they stay up and prove everyone wrong.

Good times :)

its the cup tour this afternoon, might meander down and see if i can squeeze mydelf into the crowds. me thinks it might be a tad busy :D

I nearly threw up at half time I was so nervous :o I remembered why I don't get involved in competitive sports anymore :o

in a field with 3 people giving me text updates (my brother was fucking superb at it :D) and zapp branigan watching on his phone

FUCKING SUPERB :D

I can't stop laughing though, I mean really, Hull, in the premiership :D

don't forget, Deano's played there before with Bradford and Middlesbrough

Congrats to Hull City. I would have hoped to have seen Richard Garcia and Wayne Brown playing in the top-flight in a different shirt but hey ho.

Yes! Finally, a team who play in gold in the premiership!

And while i think you're a bitter and twisted little poster,JTG,if you can find me a clip of big fat lee trundell crying i will never stop laughing :D

No video yet but today's Bristol c*ty Evening Post was quite entertaining:

as predicted, the streets were heaving for the tour of the city, they did quite a big route as well, took them a fair while to get round. the city centre outside the city hall was rammed. absolutely fan bloody tastic!!!!!!! will bring some much needed revenue into a forgotten city.

Gary Johnson's gone on an amazing new crash diet - apparently he lost 60 million pounds in an hour and a half!

Try living with the wankers for thirty years and not taking extreme pleasure in their failures

Good comparison though, both teams play in blue n white, both the senior clubs in their respective cities and both with the classier, more clued up sets of supporters. Very perceptive of you :)

Hmmm. Why did Dean Windass never score beauties like that when he was up front for the Bantams? From memory, four out of five went wide, and when he did score, it was a toe-poke in the six yard box or a corner which somehow managed to smack him on the head unwittingly as it went in.

How old exactly is Dean Windass? I mean, he was an old man when I was a nipper? Is he chasing Stan Matthews' record or something?

Though I love the idea of a bloke who was never much cop just going on and on, no better or worse at 60 than 16 and still knocking in goals!

A thought. Now that Hull are in the Premiership........

.......does that mean Danielle Lloyd's gonna sleep with Dean Windass?

He's always looked like he's been familiar with a few pies n kebabs in his time, which makes his presence in the Prem at the age of 90 all the more impressive :D
