weird haircut spanish girls always seem to have

Most of the chicks and a lot of men over there have varying versions of this

But longer and more prominent at the back.

It's a mullet.

Mullet? Smullet? Who cares? Send her round.

I think "bed head" might be "in" too.

I got the nicest compliment on my hair on monday morning. I had to confess that I hadn't bothered combing it before I came to work. :o :D

OK, but my observations are based on "looking out of the window".

I've met loads of Spanish girls with the haircut described in the OP. In fact, I knew what the haircut was just from the thread title.

1 in 30 at the very most from where I look. Huge variation in hair and dress here. I reckon you're all judging from the telly not the real life.

Cathal marcs is still in Granada! Not seen you around for ages. Then again I don't hang out in Irish Pubs selling Murphy's at €4 a go to often. It ain't my Spain. Sounds like it's working for you though. So many different sides and hair styles to Granada :)

what's with that weird haircut all spanish girls seem to have. Sort of a brutally cut fringe , like a mental patient has done it with a broken lightbulb, and long at the sides and back like a grown out version of the skin-girl style or like jane fonda in 'klute'?

what's that all about?

not that it doesn't look hot on the right sejnorita but i don't reaslly get how such a relatively unorthodox haircut can become so prevalent within one nationality and basically unseen anywhere else.

anyone any ideas? presumably some great spanish style icon must have had that cut at some point and it's just remained 'in vogue' ever since.

i love that haircut, it's like the spanish had more faith in the eighties than anyother nation, they just knew it would come round again and now they are reaping the rewards.....:D

You'd completely lost me until I reread this bit:

So, what's your problem, caller? :)

yes, like that haircut if a PCP crazed loon had attacked her fringe with an open razor.

Incidentally...all these references to the '80s....? I don't remember anyone having that haircut here in the 80s (well, maybe skin-girls did if they were trying to grow their hair out for a court appearance or something. probably)

Having spent a lot of time there, I have to agree they have fucking stupid haircuts in Spain.

The lads are worse - for years I have been seeing a ridiculous mullet 'do on 90% of guys, that I have referred to as 'The Torres'.

You are wrong. I think the spanish boys with their mullet hair cuts are the pinnacle of hotness. :)

Mullett, anyone?

I call it 'the runt' - if it's the haircut I'm thinking of.

All the girls about 15-19 years old had it cut like that when I was in Barcelona last year. Not seen it in this country. It may have evolved a little since then - I can't find a picture but a Spanish singer on Jools Holland had her hair vut like it.
