When I was saying on this site (about 4 months ago) that governments would be looking to do this kind of this thing I was again laughed at for my paranoia. Im getting a bit sick of this happening to be honest. These people are a flat out menace to freedom. Believe the worst, you probably wont be far off. Some people are too soft on them and too quick to scoff at their critics.

Although I suspect Burnham can't be as ignorant as those quotes suggest, and he is merely brown-nosing the Telegraph readership.

I wouldnt know about the torygraph readers tbh. Plenty of them value freedom. I think he's playing to general reactionary ignorance across the spectrum.
