By the way does anyone remember the formula for calucalating how close the lightening is?

Thanks

I shouldn't worry about that.

According to the program about thunderstorms on BBC2 the other week, if you can hear thunder you are within range of being struck.

Stepping off-topic slightly in this vein, there was a case of someone on a tropical island with clear blue skies getting struck by lightening from a storm many miles away.

A big fuck off thunderstorm is forecast for 16:00 hours today. Please feel free to post up your observations as the thunderstom develops.

each second = 330m as the speed of sound is 330m/s
so ball park 3 sec = 1km

as you were

*off to play golf with metal drivers;) *

The air is so humid, my desk fan is more like a horizontal shower than an air moving device.

..

Wow!! All manner of shite happening in the atmosphere now..phenomenal temperature changes.. and I'm just about to put the bbq on.. there is a god up there...

still nothing in Brixton. Hot n Humid, grey clouds and thats it. There is a certain 'something in the air' and the air pressure seems to have changed. I want thunder and lightning and I want it now

The bbq went off with only afew drops of rain falling.. high temperatures were retained throughout.. like I said Weather on a Knife Edge
