Your friend Ross did a good thing. We want Plates was started by my friend and neighbour Ross McGinnes. His wife gets very embarrassed by all the fuss.![]()
I'd be well put off if my food arrived on anything other than a plate. I doubt I'd be able to eat it.
That's awful. Do a lot of schools use those? It really irritates me that the school serve their food on those plastic moulded tv dinner trays. I wish they would use plates

I'm turning into my mother "if you were hungry enough you'd eat it".
This thread is a first world reaction to a first world problem.

Because when you're sawing a large chunk of cow with a serrated knife, there's a chance you'll damage the plate*What is the context that means mixed grill and plank have a bond?

Good, because it doesn't fit in dishwashers.

When I worked (briefly) as a road worker the oldest member of the work gang would cook us all bacon and eggs on a shovel (only used for this purpose).FEB served on spade lol
UnacceptableOld topic, rehashed, but I agree with the sentiments http://www.urban75.net/forums/threads/eating-out-standards.323828/
A thought crosses my mind, what about food served on banana leaves?
The worst one I've seen is when someone was served ice cream on the back of their hand.

What do they eat with in roadside junk food places? The first time I visited America on my own I ate mainly at roadside fast junk food places and found myself wondering if Americans ever ate with a proper plate and a metal knife and fork. It was only on my third trip when I had met and gotten to know some yanks that they took me out to decent eateries where we ate with proper metal cutlery!
fingers or at best plastic cutlery ... and no plates ...What do they eat with in roadside junk food places?
